搭乘Hamanasu-Carpet並不會不好睡,我三年前搭過一次,睡上層床覺得還好也睡得著;可是就在上月初(12/8)第二次搭乘,也是睡上層床,列車長每到一站就用擴音器廣播,簡直天壤之別完全沒有辦法睡覺,幸好第二天行程很輕鬆,要不然精神不濟就糟了

I like the idea of plane to Hokkaido because of time saving, sometime with the cost saving. Compare to train, flying into Hokkaido save you time, and relieve you with the 7 day restriction of JR Pass if you want to stay at Hokkaido longer
Consider a group of 2:
JR Pass = 28.3K Yen x 2
Plane in / out = 20K Yen x 2 + 2D car rental + 8K Yen one way trip Sapporo -> Noboribetsu -> Hakodate + misc. train charges (at most 4K yen)
So the real difference is the 2D Car rental, but you can now stay Hokkaido for more time. For best JR train trip it involves additional charge on the sleeper train unless you change at Aomori, which normally requires 1 more day. I will opt for plane for flexibility as you already have a long list of places to go.....
If you fly into Japan with JAL or ANA you probably can get the domestic ticket cheaper, and if you have time to hunt, Skymark airline sell deep discounted ticket for Haneda - Hokkaido 2 months before departure at 9:30 (weekday at 5800 yen). I think you can confirm where you are going and how long you want to stay, before confirming your transportation method. I especially prefer driving in Furano area as bus and train are infrequent, e.g. the bread superman store is basically accessible by car only, and you can visit more spot when you drive at the same day (e.g. you don't need to wait for the lavender tour bus)

今年４月剛坐過上野到青森來回，並不會覺得不好睡耶
我平常也是不好入睡和睡不熟的人，要去之前也很擔心，但其實可以躺平，所以還ok
如果擔心掉下來，可以劃下段席，但其實不會很窄啦
我覺得可以睡看看，也是個還蠻好玩的經驗

我上年六月去，我爸媽三人租了兩日 Corolla (18K Yen, 經 Tocoo), 跑了 800 KM 合計付了 30K Yen 連公路費油料費 (札幌>富良野>層雲峽>美瑛>小樽>新千歲)
十二月剛去完，四個人租了 Corolla 一日 (7500 Yen, 經 Toyota 新札幌日文網)，札幌>小樽>札幌>新千歲 大約 100 多公里 共付 10.5K Yen
(已連 1050 日元附加費)
冬季駕車要小心很多！基本上開得慢問題不大的，但要非常專心
如果第一次雪地自駕，我不會提議駕駛長路段 (我十二月去的一次有一位友人在愛爾蘭下大雪時開過，有他提點好很多)

很高興 他們是英文的 後者也有中文的 :-):-) 雖然 我不確定後者我所查到的是否是你說的 但因用"Toyota 新札幌日文網"只看到bolgs not car rental
所以換別的keyword 就馬上有資料了

如果第一次雪地自駕，我不會提議駕駛長路段 (我十二月去的一次有一位友人在愛爾蘭下大雪時開過，有他提點好很多)

很高興 他們是英文的 後者也有中文的 :-):-) 雖然 我不確定後者我所查到的是否是你說的 但因用"Toyota 新札幌日文網"只看到bolgs not car rental
所以換別的keyword 就馬上有資料了
冬季駕車要小心很多！基本上開得慢問題不大的，但要非常專心
如果第一次雪地自駕，我不會提議駕駛長路段 (我十二月去的一次有一位友人在愛爾蘭下大雪時開過，有他提點好很多)
