Vienna to Budapest

我已把你安排在未來
I am planning to travel to Vienna and Budapest at end Jan, 2011. My plan is to travel to Budapest immediately once I arrived Vienna International Airport at 9:50 am. I would take the Orangeways bus directly to Budapest, but when I check with Orangeways, they will not have the 11:20 flight offered in Jan 2011. Can anyone help to recommend other route/method from Vienna airport to Budapest because I don't want to take the railway which takes almost three and half hours and 2 changes are required as well. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I checked the Orangeways schedule from Vienna Airport to Budapest; the bus leaves at the following times: 7:20 and 19:30. It seems like there are only 2 buses a day. So your choice will be the one leaves @ 19:30.

I also found this from this webiste (http://www.toandfromtheairport.com/vienna.html) (but I'm not 100% sure if it's right, so you better check with the Vienna Airport)

"Route: Vienna Airport Terminal 2 - Györ (only the 0730 bus stops here) - Budapest city centre (Nepliget bus station). Timings: Buses leave the airport T2 at 0730, 1115, 1715 & 1915. Buses leave Budapest at 0700, 1200 (calls at Gyor) 1530 & 1700. Cost: To Gyor €16 one way, €25.60 round trip. To Budapest €29 one way/€46.40 round trip. Travel Time: To Budapest: 2:40. Note: These buses depart from the departures level. Contact: Tel (01) 798 2900."

so you could take the 1115 bus.

Your other choice is Euroline, which also departs from Vienna aiport to Budapest.
It costs higher, but runs more frequently.
