原國鐵時代的長井線移交給山形鉄道經營後成為一條頗有當地特色的地方鐵道。首站赤湯駅的站房,是木造的站房喔。

(http://www.flickr.com/photos/84848880@N00/10846783656)掰掰!雖然你們不是來送麻糬的…哭哭。順帶一提,最早梨郷駅是島式月台雙線,後來改為單線岸式月台。所以進站前路線才會如此彎曲。電影搖擺女孩中也有在梨郷駅取景過。就是一群人要送便當但是睡過頭過站下車,結果下班車還要等一小時那一段。
