1. 該保的都要保，最好全保，至少要保LDW和LIS這兩項，一天至少$30左右，租車的稅比較重，常常是原價的20~30%
2. 就慢慢開，stop sign要停，要等到「不會干擾到別的車/行人」時才能進入一條路。 例如在台灣，對面有來車開過來，你要左轉，如果你動作夠快，搶在他到達之前轉，他就必須乖乖減速下來讓你轉。在美國/加拿大，剛好相反，你必須不會干擾到對面的所有來車，才能左轉。如果你讓對面的車為了你的轉彎而剎車，就是你的錯。必須等到完全沒車或是對面的車已經遠到完全不受影響才行

初念
我是9/18從Galgary出發, 我有6個人. 我從Dollar car rental租了一台Mini van, 約C$247.98 for a week, 不含稅與保險. Thriffy也很便宜(兩家是同公司), 租車你要快點確認阿, 不然愈晚遇貴.
寫英文快一點, 如不懂再告訴我. We will pick up the mini van at Calgary airport, then drive to Costco North Calgary to pick up foods and stuffs needed. It will take us 1.5 hours to get to Banff. (We are not going to stay at Banff, because it is expensive so we have chosen to stay at Canmore instead, where lodging is cheaper and rooms are spacier.)
Our lodge is Banff Boundary Lodge. We rent two rooms, each room has two levels and the room rate is around C$116. If all of you 6 want to stay in the same place, this is a place you should consider about.
Then, we will drive to Jasper en route Icefield parkway. We stay at Jasper B&B, each night for C$70.

PS. My plan is to fly from Vancouver to Carlary, out-bound with Air Canada, in-bound with West Jet. Same place (airport) to pick up the car and return it. It has you paying much more if your drop-off is in different location.
Outside the airport, there are private car rental service with lower rates, if you have the time to go back and forth, you may want to consider it.
In early September, the loding will be still considered to be "high-seasons", thus the better you can book your hotel, the better it is. We are gonna use Canmore to be our hub traveling back and forth, because it is not far from Banff. If you are not traveling on budget, then lots of hotels you can choose. However, again, the sooner, the better.

我們最近也在找租車資料，也有看到dollar和thrifty
光看租金他們的mini van比起avis真的便宜很多
可是因為dollar和thrifty並沒有像avis把保險的金額清楚地明列出來
這讓我們有點疑慮會不會便宜了租金可是卻多收了保險費用...
請問一下...每家租車公司的保險費用會相差很多嗎??...

我比過, 差不多. 唯一可能會差一點點的是駕照費與空污稅, 以每日計, 可能會差一些. Additional driver, 也都是C$5 per day. 應該沒其他可比的吧. 除非你有與child同行, 40lbs以下要car seat, C$5 per day.

所以我們還是跟avis租了...(未稅價差了60CAD)

Dollar/Thriffy是美國上市公司我用過多次覺得很不錯, 價位較低, 不過Avis, Hertz也不錯, 只是價格高. 租了就好.....

租的是budget的車子... 她們的車況都很好... 此外沒有里程數的限制...
租一個禮拜的車子(Toyota Altis 1.8)含意外險,車險等全部的保險價格是CA$650左右... 狠便宜!另外因外他的點非常的多, 在加拿大可以說是最方便,價格又合理的租車公司了! 你可以考慮看看喔~
