我昨天剛從歐洲抵達委內瑞拉的卡拉卡斯﹐展開我為期兩個多月的南美行﹔因為倉
促﹐在離歐之前還沒找到一本LONELY PLANET或LETS GO﹐所以抵達之後毫無概念﹐
費了好大的周章才找到一間小旅館(也要台幣500多﹐不論一或兩人住都同樣價錢)﹐
之前還差點將就去住希爾頓大飯店ㄋㄟ(外表看來破舊兮兮的﹐在市區裡我只看到這
麼一家“大”飯店)﹐沒有書簡直寸步難行﹐吃足了苦頭﹔由於毫無資訊﹐下一步還
不知道怎麼走。懇請那位先進﹐幫我翻翻你手頭上的書﹐查閱一下在卡拉卡斯什麼
地方有英文書店﹔如果卡拉卡斯沒有﹐委內瑞拉的其他城市也行﹐再不然哥倫比亞
也行﹐總之我希望儘快買到。再請教先進﹕從卡拉卡斯到波哥大除了坐飛機是否還
有更便宜的陸路途徑可走﹖

從委內瑞拉進哥倫比亞走陸路的話，你就要先到哥倫比亞的加勒比海城市，再往波哥大去。

I stay in Hotel Escopio, located at the intersect of Av Urdaneta & ESQ de Candilito. My sim card (TWN GSM) can't roam here although my cell phone can work here. Do u have a workable cell phone with u? Application for argentine visa seems not possible here as I got negative answer yesterday from the consulate of argentina in caracs. The phone number of chile consulate was always busy yesterday, so i don't knwon yet where it's possible or not for getting a visa for chile. If possible, let's meet and have a talk. Let me know when you arrive in caracas and settle yourself down.

according to my personal experience, searching for information that is ready in a guide book after leaving home or on arrival at destination is just a kind of wasting time, it's not worthy and meaningless. By all means, I recommend people to have a guide book in advance. For this time, that I don't have a guide book is purely an accident, I didn't mean to.

Y, te acosejo que busques el boleto entre Caracas or Bogota to Lima.
No te vaya a Bolivia directamente.
El precio sale carismo.
Puedes llegar Lima, y translado a Puno.
Es facil lograr.

not until 1am did they tell us there was a car accident
so i was stuck in terminal, kept waiting for next one until 6am, the time i had expected to arrive to caracas

I am in Ciudad Bolivar now. Yesterday, I met the travel agency in the Italien Hotel ,
their offer for 3-day/2-night tour including a round-trip flight to/from
Canaima, boat trips to 3 falls including Angel fall, 6 meals and 2 nights
of accommodation cost 630000 Bs (300USD with official rate), do you think
this price is reasonable? Where did you book your? I remember your tour cost
around 200 USD, right?

May work out to be cheaper and more convenient thean coming to Canaima and buying a tour. Almost nothing in Canaima.
