[澳洲/駕車]有關澳洲境內駕車問題(含國際駕照使用)

其實以下是從<背包攻略>中抓過來貼的....
目的有二:
1.順便分享
2.大家幫忙"校正"...有些資訊,或許還有勞現在在澳洲境內的朋友幫忙看看,是否有誤!也可順便在此提出指正或討論,以便"修正資料"~~謝謝!
(尤其是"停車問題"...是靠我們當時在那兒繳罰款/學費?後才清楚的...資料不知對不對)

====駕車===
====大城市多單行道====
如：布里斯本，雪梨等大城市，市中心有許多單向道，若不熟路況者，最好看清路標，或先了解城市道路限制之後再進城！
====駕駛方向及一般注意事項====
*與台灣開車方向相反,要特別留意（採靠左行駛，駕駛座在右方）
*台灣國內駕照要先換"國際駕照",在當地才可使用(最好連同台灣駕照也要隨身備查)
*請遵照限速行駛(澳洲抓的很嚴,尤其看到警告標示的地段,會先立牌通知)
====租車問題====
*一般租車駕駛要滿26歲以上（一般歐洲國家好像也是）；未滿者若可租，一般車險也較貴
*車險狀況
**包含那些險種?
**兩個以上的輪替駕駛者最好要註明，有些需要加錢多保（此時最好不要省，否則萬一出事時非”被保險”的駕駛者時，保險無效！）
*租車時請注意合約，問清楚狀況
**會限每日公里數,(當然可以用"單日"乘以"租車天數"累計,只要總數不超過即可),超過的通常也有計費方式(以公里為單位)

*小心停車問題： 尤其路邊停車,請看清標識,~~收費或免費,可停車時間(包含星期及小時,請注意是紅字還是綠字),還有"停車角度"(有45度,90度....等,通常地上會劃線,)
**停車時間： "數字"P..P前數字代表可停時間,1/4為15分鐘,1P為一小時,2P為兩小時..以此類推，千萬別心存僥倖，超過一分鐘可能就接罰單了，５０澳幣
**即便有XP標示可停車,有的也需要買"停車單",先去繳錢買了停車單放在車內前檔風玻璃下備查
**即使是”需繳費”的停車點，有時還是有”限時停車”不可超時！！（通常狀況是你根本無法買到”超時”的停車費）
**停車角度，請參照停車牌的標示，通常眼觀四方及地上的標線，應該可以理解
**紅字應該是不可停的時間，綠字應是可停的時間
====罰單處理====
*交通罰單繳費
**可在限時內到指定地點繳費，或是以信用卡扣款（此部份可以電話處理，也可上網處理，罰單背後有說明）
**超過時效，會收更高額的罰款

我想提醒大家一點 也是我認為最重要的一點
就是保險部分
全險的定義很廣 每家租賃公司是根據你要保的項目所收取保險金
一般全險該有的不外忽事故及碰撞
但是租車時一定要問是否包含”送水送電及輪胎維修”
畢竟澳洲太大了 要是在郊外遇到沒水沒電或是輪胎有問題
那真是叫天天不應 叫地地不靈
沒錯！雖然保險不便宜，但一定要保喔∼至少要保擋風玻璃跟輪胎！用到的時候才知道重要！
我們在澳洲中部沙漠租車共三次，到第三次時遇到破胎...

墨爾本市區開車轉彎要小心
部分路口你得切到外車道等候一些時候才能轉
有點像是台灣騎機車的人必須兩段式左轉

(H) 2000年我們在澳洲租車旅行了一個月 向avis連鎖租車租的~在加拿大 歐洲 紐西蘭 都是租同一家
辦一張長榮航空的會員卡 ~免費的 上網即可 若租超過一星期可拿到七折左右的折扣 信用良好 記得保全險 加滿油再還車 還可累積長榮的點數
有時avis連鎖租車還有特惠活動 可上網查看 hertz比較貴
如果是在雪梨市內 建議找個可免費放車的地方 利用電車或徒步即可 免得不小心就被罰了 路邊停車記得一定要找到投幣機 否則罰款是50元澳幣 我們就被罰過
注意圓環的環繞方式和高速公路的出口 ㄧ定要先詳閱地圖 先把下ㄧ個出口的前ㄧ站地名背好 最好是有人可以幫忙看

If you are in Victoria on a temporary visa, you can drive on your overseas licence (provided it is a current, valid licence) for an indefinite period provided your overseas licence is in English (or you have an English translation), or you have an International Driving Permit.
If you are in Victoria on a permanent visa, you can drive on your overseas licence for only three months from the date you entered Victoria or from the time a permanent visa was issued to you. If you want to continue to drive in Victoria after that time you must apply for a Victorian driver licence.
再來是SA的規定
Students, tourists and persons who are working in South Australia on current temporary visas are permitted to drive on their foreign licences as above only while the foreign licence is current.
Temporary visas usually do not exceed 4 years. If the foreign licence expires, they are required to obtain a South Australian driver's licence.
Visiting motorists are required to carry their licence (and English translation if applicable) at all times while driving and produce it to Police on request. Production of their temporary visas may also be required as evidence of their temporary residential status.
下來是TAS的規定
Persons holding a temporary visa, ie student/working/holiday visas, do not need to obtain a Tasmanian Licence for the duration of their visa provided their foreign driver licence remains current - Licence must be in English or translated see below.

即使是如親兄弟的紐西蘭人也一樣喔！
而且入境三個月後就失效了
所以臨檢時最常要求的還是....“國際駕照“或“護照“....

我們這種working holiday visa是不受三個月限制的
我不懂為何台灣駐雪梨辦事處的人的回答跟澳洲官方網頁的答案會不同...
再來
我們的駕照外國警察雖然是看無..
可是我們的駕照畢竟是正本 上面有駕照號碼 跟國際駕照上的號碼是一樣的
所以 本國駕照+國際駕照+護照最好是都帶著
攜帶"台灣的駕照"是沒有用的
無關乎國家地位.......

試想台彎的“條北北“該如何辨識一份寫滿阿拉伯文的證件呢？？
