Hello...since I have promised everyone that I will update my travel, I might as well write as I go.
06/14 Fri Arrive at Montreal Airport (YHL).
Note: if anyone needs some local friends to pick you up, you can ask them to pick you up at the departure level. It's so empty there!
06/15 Sat
I didn't do anything special but to plan for the rest of my trip and walked around St. Catherine.
Note: there are a lot of currency exchange stores on St. Catherine. Be aware that some stores will waive your comission fee and also with better exchange rates so ask around! Those little stores usually have better rates than the bank!

(ya...I was a little surprised to see the "R-rated" store but my friend said it's pretty common in the populated area of montreal)
In the afternoon, my local friend took me to this afternoon place which was SUPERB!! Highly recommend for anyone who loves desserts and tea!

Below are some pictures of the afternoon tea and desserts!! The waitor also was very nice, trying to explain all the tea flavors and desserts in English.

The little timer is to measure the time for how long you want your tea to be soaked in the hot water so then you can decide the concentration of your tea! Pretty neat device! My friends and I ended up all ordering the Accordance plate (sp?) CAD $18 including tea so with tax and tip, it's CAD $23 in total. Not too bad with all the service, desserts and tea!
Although the afternoon ended well with the happy afternoon tea, my dinner was a mess b/c the local restaurant that my friend picked was not that great. However, she did bring me up to Mt. Royal to see the night view of Montreal, which was pretty awesome!
I will leave you with this last picture to end my first two days in Montreal~ I already have a good feeling about this city = )
