March is a very bad timing to go to Kashmir. It is very, very cold. It is better visit in Summer when it has cool weather. Well, it is in himalayas, no surprise! I have been there last July.
Check http://www.incredibleindia.org look for trails. beautiful views.
They show no pity to tourists regarding price. You can and have to negotiate lower price because they will expect you to do so. ....But you cannot use Indian language, right?
Srinagar has boat house, $10 per night includes room and board. But I recommend famous hotels. You can ask hotel staff to introduce local tours, it is more reliable.
Most people are warm and full of justice, but you have to be able to tell who is good guy and who is bad guy. Risky....

請問一下樓上提供的那個船屋大概要多少錢呢？
又，最近Kashmir的治安怎麼樣？有什麼要特別注意的嗎？
我可能會自己一個女生去所以有一點擔心... :^)

該地據聞是印度武裝叛亂最猖獗的三個地區之一,
在去年一位獨身的台灣女遊客疑似被游擊隊襲擊而命喪他鄉之後,
勇敢的遊人們還是不減熱情向前衝,
大有前仆後繼之勢啊! (Y)

以前機場要檢查五次，現在只要一次，開水 、果汁、手機都能上飛機。可是乳液、口紅、電池不能。外國人要離開，check in 後進入候機室的左邊有一個櫃台要填外國人的一些基本資料，如果你不會，櫃檯人員會幫你。如果食物吃不習慣，建議要帶餅乾與泡麵，我發現那邊的食物很油膩。要喝礦泉水確保安全。數位相機電池要多帶幾個，如果你不能充電的話。不知道為什麼，電池很快就沒電了。我們的行動電話到當地不能用。

電池是可以帶! 德里到斯里那加沒有問題!
印度人很沒規矩,居然飛機在空中了還開手機拍照聽音樂耶.
斯里那加到德里的機場會檢查,其實你可以反裝電池.就說沒有電池,或是害怕就放大行李,檢查時其實裝死就好.
我有點後悔ㄟ,因為我當時也是不知道已經這麼鬆了,所有的電池都放大行李,後來行李在斯里那加出差錯,沒有行李可回台灣,所以到德里手機都不能用.不過我在斯里那加好像有看到只有3號電池那種不要大剌剌的放在隨身提包就好!
關於那家店的主人, 真的可以安排人到德里接機! 那是沒有問題的,你可以寫信給他或是打電話,他馬上會回信,說 Hazari 介紹的,應該會算便宜! 老闆叫YAKUB, 你也可以請他安排旅遊行程,他們的廚師做的菜好好吃!服務也很好,算是很老實的老闆,可以放心!祝你玩的愉快 :-D

不知道是不是因為接近8月15日獨立紀念日,我在Srinagar機場檢查 4次(7/16 & 8/13). 電池是一定要拿出來的,可以有隨身包包,但所有的東西被翻出來檢查.
前一次停留4天,後一次10 天(因為有6天在山區健行). 我居住在 Dal Lake 近碼頭的船屋Yellow Submarine.一人一晚r$300含早晚餐. 有朋友住 Nagin Lake, 也還不錯R$@400/per person per night. 房間較大 晚餐好像較豐盛,只是出來到市區較遠,尤其是到公車站.
我很喜歡Yellow Submarine 船屋的一家人,船屋也很乾淨, 早晚非常舒服,(中午時間有些熱), 雖然到處可見軍人,但安全OK. 有機會/有預算建議你做山區健行,因為實在太漂亮. (Y)
You have to have the accommdation information nomatter by bus/air from Delhi, better book in advance. My experience is booking in Delhi is more expensive than local for people earn commission from it. When I was in Delhi, guest house boss try very "HARD" to sell me the House boat when he knew I went to Srinagar.

周五有一趟德里到jammu的首都特快，早上5点到。然后晚上8点返回德里。
上次看帖，说有个台湾女生背包客去了克什米尔，然后牺牲了。
是不是这个地方不能去旅游呢？谢谢。

那兒有不少錫克教徒、穆斯林，有清真寺也有錫克教的寺廟，但都不是啥了不起的名寺
就連Lonely Planet對此地的介紹都只有20行不到
至於那位台灣女士在喀什米爾的意外，純屬偶發的意外事件
倒是要注意當地的政治情勢，當地常有爆炸案等衝突情事

kashmir實際的情況並沒有新聞寫的那麼糟, 從2008年12月到今年3月前我己經去過3次了, 每回到kahsmir的景象都不一樣, 之前的天氣是有比較冷一些而且我也有看到飄雪, 在雪地上騎馬的感覺我想是沒來過kashmir的人無法體會的. 美麗的天堂在kashmir , 在台灣我們看不到雪, 在這裏, 看到的是白雪般的天堂.......只要來過一次我相信你會想再來.
