Hi;
Many of you may already have received a couple of emails from us regarding English Corner for the rest of this year and next year. However, I think some of you were not on the email list that I used to send out those emails.
This email is to thank you for attending the barbeque. I hope you enjoyed yourself. For those of you who were not on the email list I used to send out our notice of English Corner activities for the rest of this year, please note the following.
We are taking a break from English Corner. We did not meet last Thursday, the 5th of November. There will not be any English Corner this Thursday, the 12th of November.
We will have 3 more meetings this year. One of these meetings will be a regular Thursday meeting. The other 2 meetings will be on different days. Please note the following:
- We will hold a regular English Corner meeting on Thursday, the 19th of November. It will start at 6:30 pm in Price Hall ( opposite the place where we normally meet)
- The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, the 25th of November. We will meet in the lane between Price Hall and Chapel Hall at 6:30 pm. Then we will go to the Suzuki Night Market which is held at the same place as the Victoria market. We are not collecting any money for this. However, you should bring at least $10 with you so that you can buy some food to eat at the market. If you are interested, please come to the meeting on the 19th of November to sign up.
- The final meeting of 2009 will be a picnic in the Botanical Gardens that will be held on Saturday, the 5th of December. We will meet in the lane between Price Hall and Chapel Hall on Saturday morning at 10:30 am. You can either bring your own picnic lunch or buy lunch at the restaurant in the gardens. If you are interested, please come to the meeting on the 19th of November to sign up.
These will be the last meetings for this year.
English Corner will start again on Thursday, the 28th of January of 2010. The meetings will start at 6:30 pm. Most of the meetings will be held in Chapel Hall, the same place where we met this year.
We hope to see you at one of our meetings this year. If not, we hope that you will enjoy the rest of the year here in Australia and that all of you will return for the start of English Corner next year.
