A local Employer is looking for people to work Mon - Fri 8am-5pm packing cherries. Hours may be extended and some weekend work will be required when becomes busier and closer to Christmas. Duties will include packing cherries and some small amounts of lifting. Must have own transport due to location. Wage: $17.89. Please call Yarra Valley harvest Centre on 1300 792 622.

We have started picking cherries at our Cobram orchard and the work should run through to Christmas. We do not have camping facilities on site but there is a caravan park close by.
Cobram East Caravan Park. 03 5872-1207. Murray Valley Highway Cobram VIC 3644
You will need your own transport it is too far to walk from the caravan park to our orchard.

If you are interested in a position picking cherries at Cobram please call Devin on 03 5873 5346 and if he doesn’t answer please leave a message with your name and mobile number so he can call you back.

When we have finished the cherries at Cobram we should be in full swing down at our Wandin orchard so you can move to there if you want. See below.
Our Wandin cherries should start early December and run into January 2009.
We have camping facilities on site with a camp kitchen and amenities block. Fees are $20 per person per week.
Wandin Orchard – 474 Queens Road, Wandin Victoria 3139
If you are interested in a position picking cherries at Wandin in December please email through your name and mobile phone number so we can put you on the list and the Farm Manager can call you closer to starting.
Pickers are paid by the lug which holds about 13kg of cherries and the rate depends on the variety of the fruit but the average is about $10.00 a lug.
