取消住宿會被扣訂金跟一天住宿費?

小弟想請問一下有經驗的前輩們,
日前我在網路booking一間working hostel,
booking的當下也扣了5%的deposit...AUD$17.5
我是在預計住宿的前二天在網路booking的,
但因計畫臨時有變,在住宿前一天我寄了mail給該hostel告知我要取消,
在預計住宿當天收到對方mail回覆說如果沒在48HR前取消要扣一天的住宿費,
我也回覆說沒問題,畢竟是我沒在48HR前取消住宿,
但隔了幾天我發現對方有扣款(AUD$50)了,
但我納悶的是...訂金怎麼沒還我...
因為對方的網站跟回覆的MAIL都沒有說訂金不會歸還的事情...
所以我寫的了MAIL去問對方...
對方回覆如下:
The ‘deposit’ that you paid when you booked is actually a booking fee that is collected by Hostelbookers, who provide the secure facility to enable us to accept credit card reservations over the internet. That fee doesn’t come to the hostel. The confirmation you received clearly states that one night’s accommodation will be charged for bookings cancelled within 48 hours of arrival and our earlier email confirmed that. I hope that clarifies the situation for you.
對方再之前的MAIL:
Thanks for your e-mail, We can cancel that booking for you, however due to
the late notice unfortunately there will be a cancellation charge of $50 for
the first nights accommodation
對方之前的MAIL並沒有提及訂金不會歸還的事情,
後來的MAIL也只是說訂金是被Hostelbookers收走...
所以我想請問這種情況有沒有辦法要回我的訂金....
因為小弟目前生活接近破產邊緣...囧rz
能多要回一塊錢也是有莫大的幫助...

如果你是跟hostel world 訂~~
可以多付保險金~如果你要取消住宿~就可以退訂金回來
但如果你如期入住當然保險金就拿不回來摟
但這間是這樣子
在他們的基本需知就有講訂金就算你把住宿取消也退不回來

基本上在訂房網頁上就都會註明了!
訂金決不會退還，如果沒48小時前退房一樣沒得退，
這跟每間hostel的policy有關，
訂房前記得先仔細看清楚唷!
