To begin our trek, on this day we will fly to Lukla with a scenic flight. We walk on a track that slowly moves to Cheplung village. The village presents the lovely glimpse of Mt. Khumbila, a sacred peak which has not been climbed yet. We will then gradually walk down to Phakding passing across lush landscape and the striking views of Kusum Kangraru from distance will greet you. Passing the flexuous trail through the national park, we will cross several suspension bridges and pass through solemn alpine forests of pine and cedar. After (http://cedar.%20after/) the strenuous climb up the elevation, we will reach the capitol of the Everest region mostly inhabited by Sherpa people and which was once a trading rendezvous point for Nepali and Tibetan traders and merchants, Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

DAY 04: NAMCHE BAZAAR- EVEREST VIEW HOTEL- NAMCHE

On this day we shall have rest and enjoy the day exploring the mélange of the picturesque scenery of Namche Bazaar. One (http://bazaar.%20one/) can get accustomed to the elevated environmental conditions while here; and have a little sightseeing excursion, and then to some degree, avoid the feeling of vertigo by adjusting the body to the higher elevations and evade altitude sickness later on in the trip. While we are here, we will take a trip to Syangboche Airport, the airstrip located at the highest altitude on the world at 3700m. We shall then continue on to Everest View Hotel where the spectacular view of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse among others, will be waiting for our eyes to feast upon their radiance. With the memories of stunning views engraved into our minds, we will then walk back to Namche Bazaar after visiting the Everest Photo Gallery and the Sherpa Culture Museum along our excursion. We shall then bring an end to ourday by returning to our accommodation at Namche. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

DAY 05: NAMCHE TO TENGBOCHE (3860M/12660FT) DURATION: 5 HOURS

On the 6th day, we shall then take an easy trail leading us to the Dudh Koshi Valley at Phungki Thanka, the jaunt hailing with a simply resplendent view of Mt. Everest. We will then proceed to make our way to the right coast of Dudh Koshi Valley to get to Tengboche Monastery located at the stature of 3860m. The monastery is a hamlet where our sense of serenity shall be regained surrounded by the aesthetics of Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Everest and numerous other beguiles. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

DAY 06: TENGBOCHE TO DINGBOCHE (4410M/14464FT) DURATION: 5 HOURS

Wayfaring across the suspension bridge over the Imja Khola on the 7th day, we shall move down to Debouche from Tengboche and then ascend to a place called Pangboche, lying between copious Mani stones. Then, we will climb up to a heavenly little Sherpa settlement called Dingboche, a popular “Summer Valley” encompassing graceful views of the Lhotse, the Ama Dablam and the Island Peak. At the end of the day, we shall check into our guest house for lunch, dinner and breakfast.

DAY 07: DINGBOCHE - NAGERJUN (5100M/16728FT) AND RETURN TO DINGBOCHE, 6 HOURS

At Dingboche, we will have another acclimatization day. Rather than exploring lazily around Dingboche, we can hike to Nagerjun located at the height of 5100m. Nagerjun lying just above Dingboche is set on a hill on the edges of the Chhukung valley. While hiking, we will notice the trail turning steeper making the walk quite strenuous. Walking for approximately 5 hours, we will reach Nagerjun which bestows good panorama of Lobuche East (6119m), Lobuche West (6145m), Kangtega (6685m), Taboche Peak (6367m), Thamserku (6608m), and Ama Dablam (6856m). If you are lucky, you canalso observe stunning sight of Makalu, the world’s fifth tallest peak on a clear day. The views of Pheriche Valley from here is also splendid. Capturing unforgettable sights, we will walk back to Dingboche. After finishing our lunch, we can just take sunbath and relax. Overnight at guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

DAY 08: DINGBOCHE TO LOBUCHE (4910M/16105FT) DURATION: 5 HOURS

We will make our way to Dhungla from Dingboche on the 9thday, where we shall come across the Trekkers Aid Post, situated at Pheriche (4210m), run by the Western Volunteer Doctors and assisted by The Himalayan Rescue Association, aiding for the treatment of trekkers. Coming across to Chupki Lhara after passing the rock-strewnoblique with the sight of magisterial mountains, the peak of which is brimmingwith colorful prayer flags and Mani stones, we shall walk down to the Khumbu Glacier moraine, keeping with us the patronage of portentous mountains of Khumbutse, Mahalangur Himal, Lingtren and the Pumori. Mt. Nuptse will loom up in our perspective once we cross the glacier pass. We shall then check into our guesthouse at Lobuche for the night. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

DAY 09: LOBUCHE - EVEREST BASE CAMP (5364M/17594FT) - GOREKSHEP (5181M/16994FT) DURATION: 8 HOURS

This is an anticipated day of the trekking trip and we will begin by starting the walk slow to avoid altitude sickness, the sight of the world’s highest glacier, The Khumbu Glacier accompanying us to our right. Walking for about 2-3 hours from Lobuche, we will get to Gorekshep, a tranquil location dotted with some lodges and proceed to make our hike all the way to the top of the edge, finally arrivingat the Everest Base Camp, where all the pious prayer flags and small pyramidal stacking of stones will greet us. Here, The Khumbu Icefall is an utterly anthemic sight, looking like all the world’s glittering white confetti in a considerably colossal vastness of space, with the materialization of Khumbutse and Lingtren mountains looking down on us like the Titans eternally petrified in a state of silent fixtures from the beginningof time. We shall soak in all this natural wonders, eternally privileged as we are- for being able to experience this halfway across the globe away our homes in an entirely foreign land; and cherish all the sights that we see, one that we would not be able to experience anywhere else. After our endeavors at the Everest Base Camp, we shall return to Gorakshep. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Gokyo RI is the highlight of this trip. Early morning, we hike up to the Gokyo RI (Gokyo Peak). Climbing to Gokyo RI is obviously strenuous as it is steep up and takes about 3 to 4 hours to reach the top. But even from the trial scenery of Gokyo village on the edge of third lake overlooked by Cholatse and the broad Ngozumpa Glacier are mind blowing. We feel like we are surrounded by panoramic mountains like Kusum Kanguru, Thamserku, K 43, Kangtega, Taboche, Cholatse, Makalu, Lhotse, Nuptse, Everest, Changtse, and Pumori. Sight of sunrays kissing the Everest that towers over all surrounding peaks is unlike from Kalapattar (from Kalapattar Nuptse seems taller).
