I moved to Canada from Taiwan 15 years ago and I would like to introduce you a cheap place to learn English:
This city is called Hamilton (50 minutes west of Toronto) and here is the information about taking English courses in Hamilton:
Students only need visitor visa to attend language schools. There are 2 types of schools:
1. Government run-CD$70-90 /week or NT$9,000-12,000/month
2. Cheap Private School-CD$200/week or NT$24,000/month
Homestay including meal is CD$650/month or NT$20,000/month
Everything is way more expensive in Toronto!! Hamilton is only 50 minutes by bus to Toronto and 1 hour and half to Niagara Falls.
I can find schools, homestay and help open bank account for you for a fee of CD$200. Airport pick up and deliver to homestay is another CD$100.
