My name is Alfred Teh, from KL, Malaysia. My backpacking experience is Europe-1 & 1/2 years, Thailand-nearly 2 years & China few years (Working Holiday)
I need your help on the tips as follow.
I plan for Backpacking trip to Japan, estimated 2 weeks time.
Any friends can provide me some tips on :
1) Cheapest Youth Hostel in Tokyo?
2) Other than Tokyo, any city or town is special for Spring Water?
3) My flight has been booking @ Winter Season, any special for Winter Season?
4) Where can i buy JR 2 week ticket from Taiwan? or Through Japan Embassy in M'sia?
please help me on the above few points, cause this is my 1st time visiting Japan.

A2. So meny city or town has special Spring Water in Japan, almost location on Tohoku area. If you are first time visit Japan than I suggest you go to komaki onsen (http://www.komaki-onsen.co.jp/)
A3. Yamagate has special scenery in winter.
A4. Almoust travel agency has sale JR(Japan Railway) Rail Pass in Taiwan, you can buy it.

In fact i can read Mandarin, just can't write over a PC. Reading & Writing in Traditional or Simplified Character also not a problem.
Typing Mandarin over a PC is my big....big problem.... ;)
Other than Taiwan, can i buy the JR ticket in Malaysia? is there any shop @ Taiwan can sell JR Ticket through internet payment??? Cos i am living in KL, M'sia.
Please write more to me, i can read Both Traditional or Simplified Character Mandarin. ALthough just study Chinese School till Primary 6.

I has book my flight with ANA at KL, M'sia. But for YH at Tokyo, they want me to book the Small Room at October 2004 (due to my arrival is December 2004), but i am afraid there will be fully book by then.
What can i do or how can i make early bird booking & payment for my YH at Tokyo?
