【澎湖】2011世界十大祕境島嶼 – 澎湖

就在2010跨年前夕，被全世界自助旅行者喻為「聖經」的旅遊叢書《寂寞星球》 (Lonely Planet)依照慣例又出新書了，書名是《Best in Travel 2011》。
每年年底 Lonely Planet(以下簡稱LP)都會來這招，去年推出《Best in Travel 2010》，今年當然也不例外要來個2011。而且，這回直接在LP網站上購買《Best in Travel 2011》還買一送一，買《Best in Travel 2011》送《Best in Travel 2010》。
以上都不是重點，我不是LP的銷售員來推銷書的。
重點是，LP網站在2010/11/1發表了一篇從《Best in Travel 2011》挑選出來的文章《The world’s best secret islands》(世界最棒的祕境島嶼，也有媒體翻為世界世外桃源島嶼)，文中選出了世界上十個最棒的祕境島嶼，很榮幸的，其中一個是台灣的澎湖。
不曉得為什麼，11月初發表的文章，最近才被台灣的媒體大肆報導出來。巧得是，報導出來的時候剛好我放了結訓假，所以才讓我有機會看見這個消息，我想這一切應該都是緣分的問題吧。

Penghu Islands, Taiwan
If Taiwan is the other China, then the Penghu islands are the other Taiwan. Administered from Taipei, the 90 islands of the Penghu archipelago are – within Taiwan at least – for their glorious scenery and ‘touching nostalgia’, which translates to unspoiled traditional Taiwanese culture. Away from the capital, Makung, this is a land of ox-carts, fish-traps, stone-walled fields, basalt cliffs and ancient temples dedicated to the sea goddess Matsu. If sun and sand are more your cup of shochu, the beaches and windsurfing are pretty impressive too.
From May to October, Penghu’s beaches are a nesting ground for endangered green turtles – locals leave turtle-shaped offerings at temples across Penghu as part of the Lantern Festival, 14 days after the New Year.

其中也簡單提到澎湖的獨特風景和傳統文化，牛車、漁網、佬估石牆、玄武岩峭壁、老廟宇和媽祖文化；當然，澎湖的陽光沙灘大海和綠蠵龜也都是澎湖的特色之一。
能被全世界自助旅行者公認最棒的旅遊指南書LP選為世界十大島嶼真的非常開心，與有榮焉。不過說實在的，澎湖被選中也是實至名歸。
澎湖這麼一個得天獨厚的地方可以說是台灣的寶，台灣的驕傲。九十幾座島嶼，每座島都有自己的特色，每座島都是那麼的獨一無二，世界上沒有哪一個地方能和澎湖一樣，台灣的每一個人應該更懂得珍惜它。
下次如果有機會到澎湖不要再是三天兩夜就解決的速食旅遊了啦，在澎湖待上一個禮拜，甚至一個月、兩個月、三個月，做一次長時間的深度旅行，你將會發現，澎湖不再只是澎湖，澎湖是一個會讓你流連忘返的第二的家。
