Unable to type in chinese, i just left moscow this morning.
Not as dangerous as i expected. aside from the 3 theft i met at SP metro ( they get nothing from me ) , everything are prefect. when i bought the bus or train ticket, the woman asked me how many ticket ..i just shown her one finger that mean ONE..she asked me again..even the local people translate it in english, i told him, i know what the woman asked..I am alone..One lady only. it happened many time, but i already get use to it.
u can travel to russia alone even can not read or understand russian or english. u just need a piece of paper and ballpen with u..no need to bring LP or other books, get the pocket booklet from information center. it is very useful and the information are up to date. some information on the book from twn that i brought are old information.
oh, as for the pilot , some clap their hand after landed , i told the guy beside me..they clap because we are safe..u can not imagine how they landed the plane..u thought accident will happen..but NO..
for 17 days trip including flight time. just spent 750 USD for the local expenses excluding international airticket and shopping..oh as for the shopping..every where are on sale 70% to 90% off..wow..the mega department store in moscow is quite big and the clothes there are beautiful.
as for the hotel in suzdal, i just paid 650R for a room with 15 single beds.u can imagine how big is the room and i am alone in that room. it is located in front of monastery and tower. the hotel inside the monastery is 1100R per night..also, no need to make a reservation if u arrive noon time or before 3. i took the bus at 7:45am from moscow to valdimir and arrive suzdal around 1pm.
i like sergiev posad, small but beautiful and not far from moscow.i also went to V. Novogord.SP is also good, if u dont have time, no need to see lenin at red square.
