In your case, 有信心 is not enought, tno ones knows waht will be in your future, just be prepared, and keep understanding each other well, don't judge each other by your own standards.
don't turn donw help from friends and family, it is better to have some help from them, rather than strugle and get lost by yourself.

just like 計算機, means Compauter in China, but Caculator in Taiwan.

yumama及array都可以證明，至少在三藩市，很多人是把社安卡說成工卡。紐約市也是如此情況，因為這樣的說法太普遍，紐約市社安局的華裔專員在發新聞稿時，都得註明是「俗稱工卡」。對於網路的搜尋工卡，也請做搜尋仔細一點，我就在網路找找到不少在社安卡後面加註「俗稱工卡」的文章。
我說了，因為名稱很亂，不少媒體記者多半避免使用「工卡」，至少工作嚴謹的記者都是分別使用工作許可證及社安卡，以免造成混淆。我不知道katmai說的華人報紙，指的是什麼報紙，至少世界日報紐約專跑移民的記者（他寫的移民新聞常見於頭版及美國版）從來不用工卡二字，而是用工作許可證，理由就是大家對工卡指的是什麼，有不同的說法。老實說，語言不過就是約定俗成的用法，沒有什麼錯就是錯的定律。

有些老闆會care,只是你遇到的公司沒要你show你的社安卡而已,我自已就碰過要 make copy我的社安卡的公司喔!
I know I know, every employee is different, it is so easy to fake on SSN card, as no picture on it.
My current company did not bother to copy my SSN card,
they just hire private investors to do throughly background check.
I don't know what is in my recored, but heard they even pull out credit reports and traffic records...

我的小用電器是在香港買的（比如充電器），好像本身不帶變壓的，到美國的話得用什麽樣的轉換插座呢？電壓的問題怎麽解決呢？

電壓的問題就比較難解決
不過許多旅行用的電器，常常是100-240V的 (注意看上面的規格)
這樣的話，就可以通吃全球，只需要插頭的變換器即可
(筆記型電腦、數位相機的充電器，通常都是這樣)
