爬了整個美東所有的文！
想向各位求教：
1.請問要在客棧哪裡才找的到合宿的訊息呢?
2.不知是否有在費城的背包客能夠讓我們分租房間呢？
3.據說費城的治安奇差？住宿地點的選擇應該要怎麼詢問呢？
(聽說晚上會聽到槍聲，有這麼可怕嗎？)
4.有沒有其他住在費城的背包伙伴，我們可以認識您嗎？

Anyway, I am a Taiwanese student studying in Philadelphia.
To find info on accomodations in Philly, I recommend the following websites: http://www.apartments.com, http://www.phily.com, http://philadelphia.craigslist.org.
Also try talking to the Taiwanese Student Association at the school you will be attending. Get the word out to other Taiwanese students that you are looking to sublet, and have them contact you if something becomes available.
Philadelphia is one of the largest city in the United States, and like every large city there are good and bad neighbourhoods. As long as you stay out of the rough part of town you will be fine. I don't know which school you will be attending, but in general, stay away from North Philadelphia; try to find an apartment in Center City, or if in University City, try not to go past 48th street.

只要你們不住黑人區，晚上結伴，然後就是眼睛放亮點!!
應該不會有什麼問題的！

可以聯絡那個學校的台灣同學會，這樣資訊會比較充足!!

費城黑人比率是全美最高的,感覺上除了幾個高級區已外都是黑人區...
當然黑人區也有分安全與不安全的,像Drexel和Penn校園附近大抵上算安全.
Temple因為接近北費,晚上校園范圍已外最好小心點.
我也是Temple的學生,不過你們到達時我大概已經畢業了.

不知道是我天資較駑頓還是怎樣，我去了你介紹的網站，也找到了一些房子，但是寫信之後都沒回音，難道是要打電話才會通嗎？
因為international house是完全沒有房間可住（大驚）
現在到費城連個落腳處都沒有....
還真不知道該怎辦呢！！
您說的高級區 是包括university city 跟center city嗎？
不知道可否跟您交換msn呢？

房東沒看到你們之前,他也不敢太信任你們.住宿問題有時必須親自當面處理.
尤其你們看的又以個體戶居多...
International House非常搶手,候補的外國人一堆,不要太指望.

Try to get in touch with either the Temple or Drexel Taiwanese student association before you arrive, have them assist you in securing temporary accomodation. If you still can't get hold of them, give me your contact info so I can pass them to my friends at Drexel. I don't know what the hell is going on with the student association now, but I have heard complaints from quite a few friends that they are being sloppy.
