[討論]加西行程規畫: 洛磯山脈/維多利亞/溫哥華

Hello! 我是第一次要到West Canada, 看過backpacker大部份的文章, 但仍怕有些不足的地方, 請各位有空的話可以幫小弟給個意見好嗎?
我這次是帶著老婆與出生9個月大的嬰兒9月初從台灣出發到Vancouver. 由於budget的問題, 因此我們搭乘Philippines Airline. 一個人含tax沒超過NT$20,000-, 只是在Manila要待5hrs轉機. 所以出發時有辦Priority Pass, 可以用機場VIP室. 我們的concerns主要是網上坐過PAL的人好像不多, 因此我們的資訊也有限. 另外也是Very 1st time to Manila airport, 網上看到的好像轉機的手續有點痲煩....
到了Vancouver後, 我們待一陣子後, 約9月中想去Rocky Mountain, 從Backpacker網站上我得到得資訊我想訂自YVR到Calgary(YYC)的round trip機票, CAD178 (exclude tax) per adult. 要買round trip主要是將7天時間花在Rocky Mountain, 如果它真的如大家說的那麼美, 我何必遠自又多開一趟Vancouver-Calgary? (如drop-off 地點不同則weekly rate會粉貴的...)
租車, weekly rate: 多在CAD160-200間 (exclud tax, insurrance)如drop-off不同則會高到CAD590-800. 保險我有看到Peace of Mind (POM), 大約CAD30, 不知這樣夠不夠. 一般要保的險有那些? 如不夠,可以告訴我有什麼insurrance我需保的. 又Car rental不知是否有出租嬰兒坐椅? 不然加拿大開車不去嬰兒坐椅不知是否會被開單?
1st day - from Calgary to Banff, 先到Banff Information Center拿一些資料, 並買些補給品, 主要是嬰兒吃喝的東西. 當晚住 Banff的B&B, (我從網上看到幾家約CAD65-150, 因為9月中不算旺季, 因此我想到當地找, 看有沒有更便宜一點的, 不知有人去過那住過, 有任何寶貴意見嗎?) Question: Banff值得我們花一晚住在這裡嗎??
2nd day - from Banff走1A到Lake Louise與Lake Moraine走一走. 喝喝下午茶. 再開車回Banff住一晚(主要是Lake Louise附近住太貴, 還是有便宜點的我不知道?)
走Icefield Parkway #93,
3rd day - from Banff 走 1A經Icefiled Parkway #93到 Jasper. 這段路約要開4hrs. 其中Columbia Icefield不知是否適合帶小baby去, 另外費用不知如何? 這有人去過嗎? 值得一看嗎? 當晚住Jasper, B&B應該比較好找了吧?! 我看多是CAD60-70的價位.
4/5th day - 繼續在Jasper周邊走走. 如Arthabasca Falls....etc.
6th day - drive back to Banff, lodge at B&B
7th day - drive to Calgary, tour around before we return car. Then, head back to Vancouver.
請問有任何建議嗎??

逆風飛行更適合成長
因為有朋友在台灣,看我們在Canada的旅遊,因此我將我們去過的一些值得寫的部份全寫在這個部份,sorry lar.
Vancouver Island.......
Picked up our rental at Empire Landmark Hotel, driving to Tsawwassen for the ferry to Swatz Bay. It took 1hr and 35 minutes by ferry to arrive and then took another 30 minutes in driving to Victoria. There were many wineries and farms on the route to Victoria that you may find it worth paying a visit.
We did not find Inner Harbour attractive because you could easily pick up the same in Granville seawall walk or Stanley park. I took a walk in Victoria west (You had to cross the bridge to get to another end, the bridge interested me because it opended to allow ships go thru.), the view was beautiful and you could see how waterplanes took off and landed.
Butchard garden was just okay, I guess that was because the winter is around the corner. It still attracts lots of people, we stayed there for almost 3 hours and then drove to Chemainus, the small town's famous for its wall-painting. It's quiet and beautiful small town, not so many people around. We sat down in a restaurent and ordered our lunch, well, the service was very pleased and prices were very reasonable, so we tipped them a bit more.
Then, you could drive up to Ladysmith, pretty much the same to Chemainus. Beauty and quiet !!
30 minutes later we had arrived at Duke Point for the ferry back to Tsawwassen. It takes 2 hours and the ship (Queen of Vancouver) is smaller than the ferry to Swatz Bay.
Well, if you are planning to go during this season, I would suggest no need to book your hotel in advance, because plenty of choices for your taking, also no need to reserve your ferry if you are not traveling on weekends.

現在Vancouver愈來愈冷了......月底會在0度以下, 不過最近雨下的沒那麼大了, 可以到處走走. 遠遠看到山上的雪, 有空的人應該到附近的山上走一走.

Vancouver 昨天下雪了,其實0度左右感覺還好,想到以前住美東時的大風雪,Vancouver冬天還是溫暖得多。

我想你會選擇菲航, 當然是價位問題. 他大約會比一般航空公司飛美洲大陸便宜約1萬多塊. 可是我想大家對菲航的安全疑慮也更是一個重點. 大家可以到skytrax的網站看所有航空的憑比, 再下決定即可. 以我搭過的人看來, 服務品質有時好有時so so. 最主要是沒有中文解說員, 你要會説點英文, 不然會有點不方便.
至於行李呢? 是可從台北直掛Vancouver.
菲航的專用機場有點新鮮, 你下飛機然後再那待5hours轉機. 起飛前2-3hours機場會叫所有人起立排隊安檢(如同你過海關般, X-Ray,金屬探測), 檢查完你再回到座位再呆2hours before departure. Manila airport很熱的, 冷氣很爛的, 我看起來不覺得那是 air conditioning, 那些冷氣看起來比較像除溼機. 不要動作太大, 不然一定全身濕透的......機場看來又很新.
沒什麼duty free shops, 你若有白金卡也 沒用, 因為那在另一機場. 你用的這個機場聽說是Phillippine airlines專用的.
只能在機場內活動. 進出toliet不用登記. airport內就有.
真的沒有什麼免稅商店逛. 帶本書吧

今年暑假，也要去洛磯山脈目睹她的美麗。 :-D 很高興。但這是第一次自助心裡實在七上八下，且搜尋租車資料，每個租車公司含概的內容又不同。且有大大建議要full insurance.但是那是包括哪些項目嗎?大約加價多少？有些租車稅金已經include "Third Party Pirmiary liability" 有些人建議再加買 collision damage waiver"，除了這些所謂的full insurance還包含哪些? 還有peace of Mind 是怎樣的保險項目? 謝謝大大 in advance
