[討論]加西行程規畫: 洛磯山脈/維多利亞/溫哥華

Hello! 我是第一次要到West Canada, 看過backpacker大部份的文章, 但仍怕有些不足的地方, 請各位有空的話可以幫小弟給個意見好嗎?
我這次是帶著老婆與出生9個月大的嬰兒9月初從台灣出發到Vancouver. 由於budget的問題, 因此我們搭乘Philippines Airline. 一個人含tax沒超過NT$20,000-, 只是在Manila要待5hrs轉機. 所以出發時有辦Priority Pass, 可以用機場VIP室. 我們的concerns主要是網上坐過PAL的人好像不多, 因此我們的資訊也有限. 另外也是Very 1st time to Manila airport, 網上看到的好像轉機的手續有點痲煩....
到了Vancouver後, 我們待一陣子後, 約9月中想去Rocky Mountain, 從Backpacker網站上我得到得資訊我想訂自YVR到Calgary(YYC)的round trip機票, CAD178 (exclude tax) per adult. 要買round trip主要是將7天時間花在Rocky Mountain, 如果它真的如大家說的那麼美, 我何必遠自又多開一趟Vancouver-Calgary? (如drop-off 地點不同則weekly rate會粉貴的...)
租車, weekly rate: 多在CAD160-200間 (exclud tax, insurrance)如drop-off不同則會高到CAD590-800. 保險我有看到Peace of Mind (POM), 大約CAD30, 不知這樣夠不夠. 一般要保的險有那些? 如不夠,可以告訴我有什麼insurrance我需保的. 又Car rental不知是否有出租嬰兒坐椅? 不然加拿大開車不去嬰兒坐椅不知是否會被開單?
1st day - from Calgary to Banff, 先到Banff Information Center拿一些資料, 並買些補給品, 主要是嬰兒吃喝的東西. 當晚住 Banff的B&B, (我從網上看到幾家約CAD65-150, 因為9月中不算旺季, 因此我想到當地找, 看有沒有更便宜一點的, 不知有人去過那住過, 有任何寶貴意見嗎?) Question: Banff值得我們花一晚住在這裡嗎??
2nd day - from Banff走1A到Lake Louise與Lake Moraine走一走. 喝喝下午茶. 再開車回Banff住一晚(主要是Lake Louise附近住太貴, 還是有便宜點的我不知道?)
走Icefield Parkway #93,
3rd day - from Banff 走 1A經Icefiled Parkway #93到 Jasper. 這段路約要開4hrs. 其中Columbia Icefield不知是否適合帶小baby去, 另外費用不知如何? 這有人去過嗎? 值得一看嗎? 當晚住Jasper, B&B應該比較好找了吧?! 我看多是CAD60-70的價位.
4/5th day - 繼續在Jasper周邊走走. 如Arthabasca Falls....etc.
6th day - drive back to Banff, lodge at B&B
7th day - drive to Calgary, tour around before we return car. Then, head back to Vancouver.
請問有任何建議嗎??

Thanks for the sharing. I went there once in mid to late of September. It was okay to me, but my wife loved it very much. I like Switzerland better.
The car rental in Canada is very convenient and we rented a Dodge Stratus yesterday and was upgraded to a Chyrsler 300C. The car is so luxury and it only cost me C$24 per day. In September and October, you always can get better rates. Rates will get higher from November.

Whistler
It's bad timing in travel to Whistler for reasons.
1. The weather, it rains almost everyday and it's foggy so you can not barely see beautiful scenery along the sea-to-sky highway as well as in Whistler itself.
2. Road work: Lots of them on the way, it could delay your trip .

沒下雨且天氣涼而不冷...
不過最令我印象深刻的是Whistler多樣的戶外休閒活動....
很難想像小小一個城鎮...
冬天是超大滑雪場就算了...
夏天則融合了...
越野腳踏車...泛舟...獨木舟...高空彈跳...滑行縱谷等...
還有我最愛的騎馬觀景+野營...
果真是度假勝地阿~
要不是住宿很貴~~~
真想好好玩個幾天~~~~

對啊......住宿很貴的.....我們才想11月初再去一次, 那時下雪了, 應該比較好玩.
你有沒有去過Fort Langley? 那地方真的不錯, 鄉村的味道真的很濃, 又在Fraser river旁, 可以去農莊走走.......

We went there for the cranberry harvest festival. It was really fun. This festival falls in early October, so next year you may come over and see for yourself. (You have to come early before 2pm in order to catch up on last tour city to farms. If you feel Fort Langely is kind of far that requires longer time in travel, you may go experience the one in Richmond, it's same date in Richmond Nature park. I believe you know how to get there.)
In Fort Langley, the winery is good too. Take your time and walk in this small down along the river. It indeed creates a different way to feel the great Vancouver.

Do you know there's a go-karts track in Richmond ? Have you ever been there ? It said on its website the site just completed renos and it charges C$10 per 10 minutes. It sounds a bit expensive. Never tried that in Taiwan so I could be wrong about pricing.

Go-Karts in Richmond,
This place operates from March to October. In the end of Ocotober, the weather is cooling so less attractive to people to get there. We went there yesterday and paid C$20 plus tax to drive as long as we felt like to. No limitation !!! So, if you are font of driving go-karts, you might as well go there in mid-to-late Ocotober to take this adventage.
Also, it's not far from Richmond Nature Park where you can expereince blueberries or cransberries harvests. If you are driving, Stevenston fishermen's market is not far away. You can easily combine three locations in one trip.
