I don't know whether people do private airport pickup as things are very expensive here in Sydney... It will cost you much less if you take the train yourself. However, train still cost more than 7 dollars depending where you are going, as the airport line is private owned... You can search on line for aiport shuttle, and I think the average cost is 35 dollar per person.

i picked up my mother last week. From the international airport to central station. You can take the shuttle bus in the airport and it costs 22 for return and 13 for one way per person,and the driver will take you to the hotel you stay. Or you can take the train ,and it costs about 14 dollars for one way and 19 for return. However , i don't think shuttle bus is available for 24 hours . i think shuttle is better .
