Booking.com,不可靠!

I reserved a room thru booking.com with the rate EUR79.9 (Home Luxury Apartment, Iceland). Due to change of itinerary, i’ ve cancelled my booking in Jan 2013.
I was shocked when i was checking my credit card bill in Apr 2013. i found that Home Luxury have charged me ISK13437 (HKD893.59) on 9 Apr 2013. i immediately contacted them to see what happened.
Booking.com has said that they have informed Home Luxury on 9 Jan 2013 that my booking has been cancelled.
Home Luxury has claimed that they have never received any cancellation from booking.com until i contacted her then she knew that my booking has been cancelled.
Obviously both parties are avoiding the responsibilities!
On 19 Apr 2013 Home Luxury has refunded me ISK12593 (HKD821.26). so i have lost ISK844 (HKD72.33) for NOTHING!!!
Home Luxury argued that they are doing it according to the exchange rate since my booking was sucured by EUR79.9. However this is an exceptional case. I have cancelled my booking alot in adv. I found no reason why they still charged my credit card. There’s nothing to do with the excharge rate. Simply they didn’t refund me the FULL amount. I am very disappointed. Surprised how they CHEAT tourists money by such method! It’s frustrated that i have to write so many emails for something that i didn’t use. Wasting all my time & energy!
For the whole process, booking.com is NOT helpful at all. She only gives u formal replies with their standard Q&A. At the end, they simply don’t reply your emails anymore!!! This is how they treat customers! Even they have stated that they never charge your credit card, actually they have very tiny words saying credit card could be charged depending on the individual accommodation policy. Be aware!!!
Also i found that Home Luxury is the same as Apartment K. They are using different names to cheat tourists!
Please think carefully before you really reserve a room with this cheater as well as booking.com!

if you follow the cancellation policy, they should refund full amount plus the service fee that was charged by your bank.

Don't expect too much, booking.com team just want to show that they are settle the problem. During various email conversation with them, got lot of non sense answer from them. they stand on customer side, they will bargain with the consumer(guest). also, their experty is wasting customer time..waiting for customer to give up and won't bother them.

What I learn....book with the hotel directly, don't provide credit card data. if not peak season, search upon arrival, will find a place to stay just arrive earlier.

samething here, i remember like 2 yrs before. i booked a hotel at this web. when i arrive to india i took a taxi to the 4 stars hotel. the hotel told me that, they never reserve the room for me. i showed them all my document my credit card. but they just tell me to go away. so i took a taxi back to a cheap motel on that night. i remember it was around 1 am. The website even hang up my phone on the spot.

我在Venere.com也發生了類似的問題,我booking了佛羅倫斯的Max apartment,四天前可免費取消。我在一個月前因為改行程早就取消,venere的帳號資料也查得到,但Max apartment依然用信用卡扣款。我寫信到venere.com完全沒有回覆,寫信到max apartment,他們說他們會查完再回答我。超過一個星期沒再回覆我,所以我打電話到我信用卡公司,告訴他們我的卡被盜刷了,請信用卡銀行幫忙處理,不知道這樣有沒有用?

booking.com is real poor and bad website. i reservced two night for Leonardo Hotel München City Center, but they charge twice on my credit. due to my frist reservation had beed confirmed, OMG! i really don't know what happened for booking.com, if i got confirmation,why should i booking again!! and they can't do anything for this case, cause me lost. i never use it again.
