Life Caf岢 is the oldest tea house in Kuching City, Sarawak being the first tea house on the oldest street in Kuching - Ewe Hai Street.
Ewe Hai Street was built in 1885, by a Chinese businessman, Ong Ewe Hai (1830-1889). This street is connected with another old street – Carpenter Street, at the junction of the remains of Bishop Gate, as well as a gateway to one of Kuching’s oldest street – Main Bazaar’s Bishop Gate Road. At the other end of the street is the Hong San Si Temple, which is an incense flourishing old temple, full of myth.
Kuching's old neighbourhood, in fact is Sarawak's first neighbourhood. In the early years, a large number of Chinese immigrants came from the province of Guangdong, Fujian as well as other coastal areas and slowly developed this area into prosperity. The Chinese emigration brought various cultures and handcrafts skills, blended with the old neighbourhoods to create the current unique multi-cultural characteristic.
There are numerous furniture shops on Ewe Hai Street, one of the world’s famous Shanghai carpenter also ran a carpentry business here in the early days. In addition, there are also dental clinic, bookstores, coffee shops, herbal shops, incense store, etc., which added much colours and liveliness to the lives on the streets.
Life Caf岢 brought in the aroma of tea, located at the end corner of the street, enables you to taste the sweet aroma of tea while appreciating the century-old street on sight. With the British colonial style building, the vicissitudes of history, the tea house gradually gain its own personality in this blooming city. Occasionally, a flock of swallows flies out from the eaves of the old cluster of the buildings, you would understand the livelihood of a century-old street.

Kuching Food (http://auleo520.blogspot.com/2010/10/kuching-food.html)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v241/auleo/Kuching_food01.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v241/auleo/Kuching_food10.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v241/auleo/Kuching_food06.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v241/auleo/Kuching_food07.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v241/auleo/Kuching_food04.jpg
Belacan Beehoon
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v241/auleo/Kuching_food02.jpg]
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v241/auleo/Kuching_food03.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v241/auleo/Kuching_food08.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v241/auleo/Kuching_food09.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v241/auleo/Kuching_food05.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v241/auleo/Kuching_food12.jpg

Kolong mee)
Kolo Mee
