Hi,
I js back from Kyoto not long ago, I spend 6 days there also cannot finish all the spots.
Kyoto is a very beautiful place that is more suitable to explore in slower pace.
I do not suggest you to put all the places in this trip to fully utilise the JR pass or the flight ticket (I can fully understand how expensive is it), maybe you can choose few most wanted to visit spots is enough.
While your 嵐山 day, you can put in 金閣寺 after that. 金閣寺 looks great during sunset time.
Check out the sunset time.
While for Nara, you can put in Uji for backup (many forumers planned in this way, but I myself spend almost a day in Nara already).

For the JR railpass, might need other forumers help to answer you as I only go to kansai area.
But I suggest you total up the fares yourself first, so that you can have a rough picture on it.
This is my itinerary,
Day 1 Takao 高雄 - 神護寺 (Jingoji) – 徒步到岚山
Day 2 奈良，宇治 (only managed to go Nara)
Day 3 銀閣寺，真如堂， 南禅寺.三门，哲学之道，永观堂 ( 銀閣寺 cancelled last minuted due to the maintenance work going on)
Day 4 岚山，金阁寺, 錦巿场
Day 5 染匠, 清水寺，三年坂(產寧坂) - 清水寺 - 地主神社 - 三年坂(產寧坂) - - 寧寧之道 - 石塀小路 - 八坂神社 、祇園花見小路
Day 6 錦巿场，祇園一带
Basically there are lot more to visit, but I really got no time (especially if you're going to take photo)
While to travel around Kyoto, I think city bus will be very convenient and you can get the 500yen day pass. I think JR pass might only can used for my Takao trip.
Beware of the sunset time, for autumn and winter, usually after 4pm, but for end of March, you might need to google for the information.
I've tried the kimono rental and is something special to try.
And you need to know what is your objective of the trip. I guess is for the cherry blossom?
My trip is for the red leaves (words cant describe it, you need to look by yourselves). And you feel so comfortable walking down the streets (even though without doing anything)
I think in the forum, there should alot of good spot for cherry blossom recommended. As I am not sure if the places that I went is famous with cherry blossom or not.
(google it, you'll get alot information) (hehe, tat's how I plan for my trip)

The biggest obstacle that I have is.. I arrive at and depart from Narita Airport.
So I have to return to Tokyo after enjoy in Kyoto..

不知你有没有算算在车上的时间？我帮你看了一下，从京都到广岛至差不多3个小时。你抵达目的地之后，可能剩下很少时间逛。

不再依靠JR Pass，改坐夜晚巴士来回东京-京都，省下两晚住宿。。各位认为如何？
