well, i stayed with a family for 4 days. Right before I moved, they stole my money, and I just found out that the son of the family copied my credit card numbers and make new cards. He has already spent 4,000US dollars in 2 days on my cards. I have cancelled my cards but now I have no acess to my bank account and no cards to use as well. Luckily, I am safe. Its a shitty way to start my trip....

真慘.... 很想知道你是在怎樣的機運下住在怎樣的地方? 是 guest house 還是"home stay"? 那家人也是去玩的...還是就是當地的接待你的人?

哪可就得費依翻口舌了。

It was a homestay. Now I moved to a better homestay.
My credit cards are issuing in Taiwan. It was so difficult. One bank refused to issue me a new card (because it was credit card with ATM function) unless I go to the bank personally. They said¨you should come back to Taiwan now and apply for it?" I said to them "Are you out of your mind, it costs me hell a lot of money to fly over here and you are asking to fly back just to apply for a new card? Are you gonna pay for it?" Anyway, they refused to issue me a new card until I get home. Another bank will issue me a card but they refused to send it to me here. I will have to ask my family to send it to me. Everyone told me the bank in other countries usually issue you a new card in a week and send it to whatever you are. But no no no, not Taiwan!!!
Anyway, sorry for complaining. The whole thing put me down a bit.

看來
1.以後帶出門的卡....還要先查清楚補發的方式與程序了...
2.住homestay還是不能太掉以輕心了
想到一件事....或許問這個有點笨...希望不會讓你想到又更生氣了...
既然....知道是那個homestay的偷的.... 不能對他們他們怎麼樣嗎?
例如:報警找警察之類的? :-$
還是....在那樣的國家中.....警察不是像我們想的那樣簡單 :^)
以前也曾經想過....碰上了怎麼的狀況...是不是需要找當地的警察呢?
那兒有沒有我們的"辦事處"? 可以幫忙處理或協助的?
看來...台灣真的還不錯...最少...對外國人來說....還有"外事警察局"可以求助 (H)
