第一個先申請簽證吧！
不過沙烏地簽證單身女性是幾乎沒有拿到的，
沙烏地有駐台的代表處，不過申請起來很棘手，
妳可以嘗試，不過不要抱太大的期待。
或許請妳朋友寫個推薦函會有幫助的，
另外，自助旅行的設施很缺乏，旅行起來會很困難。（特別是語言不通的時候）

第二個沙烏地土地面積廣大，有大家感興趣的沙漠（還有那現在溫度熱到爆的首都，利雅德），也有港市如吉達跟達曼，甚至西南邊還有綠樹跟山脈，
不知道妳朋友在那個城市？

第三個，阿拉伯文我會啊，因為我在那邊讀過書，
只不過會正統阿拉伯文到那邊還是會講不通的，因為當地人都講方言，
所以聽起來也是霧莎莎啊！
而且阿拉伯文的符號很特別，要學會有點吃力，
當地英語的使用也不算多，不過在大都市裡應該會好些，
我指得是吉達，利雅德這些地方。

前幾個禮拜有機會跟沙烏地阿拉伯人宜起上課
跟他問了一些他們國家的事情

他自己是覺得～他們國家沒啥瞇好玩的.......
有啦～精品比香港的便宜

沙烏地阿拉伯也是有一些景點可看,但是你最好要有當地人帶.單身女性真的不大建議去沙烏地阿拉伯玩.因為不幸發生事情的話,錯的永遠是外國人.

沙烏地阿拉伯可以玩得有沙漠野營,或是海邊野營.也有一些山區可以玩,山區天氣都很涼爽,和大家想像中酷熱的沙烏地阿拉伯完全不一樣.

大城市的話就是shopping,他們的mall 都是可以逛上半天以上的...我個人是覺得這是最無聊的一種...mall 全世界都有,不用跑到沙烏地阿拉伯逛.

其實沙烏地阿拉伯人都算是很好客且熱情.但是文化認知還是有所差異,尤其是對於女性.基本上女性只能和自己丈夫,或男性親戚一同出遊...去餐廳也是分家庭區和單身男子區...換句話說,如果你是個單身女性.你根本只能待在家裡或旅館.單身女性連開車都不行..近年來社會風氣是有較開放一點點...但是就如同一開始所說,要是發生任何事.都是外國人的錯.

不知道你和你的朋友熟悉到什麼程度,是男或女,但是沙烏地阿拉伯不大適合單身女性自助旅行.

如果你真的很好奇阿拉伯文化,阿聯酋(uae),卡達(qatar）,巴林（bahrain)這些都是較開放的國家.我建議你可以從這幾個國家入門

Hi, I am working in Saudi Arabia(Malaysian female). Saudi Arabia allowed tourist visa for female but must above 30 years old and joint tour package. Is very difficult to travel backpack here (especially lady)because language barrier( majority taxi driver not speacking english in Saudi), sometimes can not check in hostel if single female.Public transport eg:Riyadh(mini bus) is not allowed female, only way to travel around is by taxi, but very expensive!! U also can visit here with your husband (importance::: carry the married certificate along with u, and try to translate in arabic in advance , bcz the local police may not read english!!). Couples without married certificate walk on the street including foreigner may end up in jail!!!!! Lady must wear "black dress"/ arbaya and carry along scarf once u out of the hotel room.

Although I am working in Saudi(single female)and like to travel solo by backpacking. I still need to follow tour in Saudi. Because the hostel here is very very expensive and can not move around in the city or rural area, bcz lady can not drive or get into local city bus...++++languagebarrier and can be dangerous as well!!!Even you call for HELP: not body can understand including police!!

Advice : follow tour if u are above 30 years old(female)!

Saudi Arabia still not so popular for tourist, but reseved well their culture although in city!! Some places still worth to visit.....and not so commercialised like in UAE(Dubai, Abu Dhabi), Bahrain. This country follow strictly Islamic law , the foreigner also need to follow ther law and regulations here. Few basic things need to follow if u are in Saudi:

1. Female must wear arbaya(picture 1), and carry scarf. male must wear long pant ans sleeve shirt/t-shirt.

2. female and female can not walk together if u are not married couples (must bring along married certificate all the time!!)

3. Non Muslim forbided enter Mosque!

4. female travel solo is inconvenience here , because the taxi driver may drive u into the desert!!!or somewhere!!the local police majority not speaking english!

Otherwise: ppl here quite nice and polite if u can communicate with them....I still look for the chance to travel as much as possible in Saudi before I am resign ......share some KSA picture!!

當地法令 以可蘭經為準 非回教徒很容易觸法 (例如不能照人像)
你跟朋友 [如果男生]兩人出遊 萬一沒有有效文件證明關係 也可能有牢獄之災
甚至連住飯店 都沒辦法

沙烏地 南方近 葉門 還有北方 靠近伊拉客 高山很漂亮
但是野外 風景好 危險性也增加
很多遊牧民族 飄忽不定 有很高的危險性 別輕易嘗試
