[砂拉越 Sarawak]古晋 Kuching一日游

thanks for all the info, i was back from Kuching.
The trip is very nice, thanks to all who gave me useful phone nos., people in Kuching are very hospitable (really!)
just a short recap,
we arrived to KIA at 1020, arranged van to Merlin Inn hotel at Jalan Nanas, to me the location is good as it is between the airport and city so easily accessible
Day 2 we spent daytime at Kuching City, tried the Laksa, walked around the souvenir street, Sarawak Museum - the new wing is closed for the moment till the end of the mth.
Evening we went for the music festival - i love the venue! esp. when ppl sat around the lake and watched the sunset.....
not so good is the shuttle bus back from SCV to hotels, luckily i arranged bus to pick us up right after the concert so we don't need to queue, but the queue for shuttle bus is REALLLLLLLY LONNNNNNNGG......
Day 3 we spent our day watching Orang Utans (i think we should consider lucky bcoz we saw 6 orang utans in total including the big one Ritchie), then went to Benuk Longhouse, had lunch at waterfall (some of us swam along that which is absolutely amazing), then went to Annah Rais, spent a teatime there, I tried to learn from a guy to make bangle :) then on the way we were at souvenir outlet then back to waterfront ...very nice trip
specially need to mention people in Kuching are really nice ...
perhaps i was with two blonde ladies so it was so obvious that we are tourists, people offered us a ride (one just asked for 2 Ringgits each and one even gave us for free!)
I enjoy the trip thoroughly. definitely i will come here again and stay more days!

我们一行6人7月29日下午由巴厘抵达古晋，31日早上离开。
通过爬文，我们已经在Lodge 121 预订了两晚住宿。
请问30日一天在古晋是自由行好呢还是找家当地旅行社一日游？
本来想自由行，考虑到6人要打两部车，而只有我懂英文，担心走散，所以就萌生了找地接的想法。
请各位大大提供建议，谢了！

如果你認得路…如果你的方向感很好…租車自駕是ok的。但若不是，建議你參加旅行社的SIC二人行的行程好一些。
確定要去這麼多Longhouse嗎？
2. 31日的市区游用走路行不行?
31日 : 市区游, 河濱公園, 貓博物館 等等...
Hilton隔壁就是著名的大伯公廟，對面就是河濱公園了，在那裡你可以參觀華人博物館，或乘搭舢舨40仙馬幣到對面江，看看全世界只有古晉有的Astana（在字典里是找不到的喔～）；附近有Main Bazaar是買紀念品的好地方，記得買多可以講價錢；還有舊法庭（現在的Tourism Complex）和英式建築的郵政局；砂拉越博物院，和在它對面的敦拉薩展覽館（不是每次都有展覽的），在走上一點是回教博物館。這些都可以用走的。
貓博物館就有點距離了。如果去了貓博物館，那倒不如去著名的砂拉越文化村～

看看有沒有其他大大去過兩個長屋，可以提供意見。

嗨!hyneoh, 建议你在星期六下午或晚上可以去SATUK的夜市(SUNDAY MARKET)走走,一星期也就只有一次,如果星期六赶不及星期天早上还有但只到中午,很多外国游客去的. 从HILTON如果有一张古晋的地图很容易的走路都可以到,因为它离博物馆不远.

别忘了古晋一年一度的古晋节或美食节已开始了.这是为了celebrate古晋在1988年(若我没记错)荣升为Bandaraya的重要event.地点就在Pandungan一带
