% airport : there is a Passenger Assistance at the airport. However, the staff doesn't speak English. i guess that the staff only wants to help Spanish-speaking passengers. Leaving from the airport, prepare to pay US$50 for airport tax.
% Caracas : the atmosphere in this city is quite strange, it made travelers feel uncomfortable.
% Angel Fall : it's quite expansive to do this trip. It costs US$220 for 3-day boat trip including fly to Canaima from Bolivar and fly back. Is it worthy? Well... many travelers said that it's quite good since Angel Fall is the highest waterfall. But the highest doesn't mean the most spectacular. i can only say that it's ok. If visiting Angel Fall is your dream, just do it. If you have chance to visit this contry and have some days and money, just do it. If you want to fly from Taiwan to visit it just because it's the highest waterfall, maybe it's better to save your time and money. It doesn't mean Angel Fall is not good, it only means visiting Angel Fall is time-consuming and money-consuming.
For those travelers who don't have too much time here and still want to visit Angel Fall, it's possible to take a night bus from Caracas to Ciudad Bolivar, then take a taxi to airport in the morning directly. There are 4-5 travel agencies at the airport, just book trip there such that can save one day. Basicaly, Ciudad Bolivar is not that interesting. People come to Ciudad Bolivar jsut use it as a base.
After visiting Angel Fall, travelers can stay in Canaima as many extra days as they want without paying extra fee. But only the accommodation is free (sleep on hammock), travelers have to pay for food. The beach in Canaima is really good. Highly recommand if travelers are there.
% Ciudad Bolivar : except Angel Fall, travelers can do some ohter trips here, including Roraima and Gran Sabana. Perhaps Roraima is the best choice. It's strange that all of the travel agencies will tell you that it's so difficult to do this 6-day trip because it's a strong trek. But i met one girl who did Roraima trip and trekked along Inca Trail 2 years ago. She said that trekking along Inca trail is even harder. She believed that everybody can do Roraima trip. i really don't understand why travel agencies would like to scare travelers.
% Tucacas : some people said visiting some islands from here is good. i would say it's only so so.
% Puerto Colombia : travelers have to change bus in Maracay. This small fish-viliage is quiet(?) and peaceful. If you have been traveling for a long time and would like to find a place to hang out for couple of days and do nothing, then this place is quite good. Hostal Colonial is a very good place to stay.
